UPS batteries are a fundamental component for the operation of uninterruptible power supplies and are specifically designed to deliver enhanced performance even in extreme conditions. Lead-acid UPS batteries can last up to 10–12 years, but their lifespan greatly depends on how they are used and maintained. They should always be fully recharged, even after long periods of inactivity, to maintain efficiency and performance over time. There are different types of lead-acid batteries, with the most common being: Gel Batteries: Suitable for deep charge/discharge cycles even in harsh conditions. Used in electric scooters, renewable energy systems, and medical devices (e.g., wheelchairs). AGM Batteries: Ideal for cyclic or standby use, commonly found in UPS systems, emergency lighting, telecommunications, and alarms. They require minimal maintenance.
