The electric emergency power supply is a centralized power system specifically designed to be installed in emergency lighting systems and other emergency systems such as automatic fire-fighting systems, alarms, smoke extraction equipment, and carbon monoxide detection systems.

| 1-10 kVA

The CPSS 3 electrical backup system (1-10kVA) uses digital control technology and high-frequency conversion, offering high efficiency and energy savings. It ensures stable and safe power supply with integrated functions such as AC regulation, backup power, and surge protection.

Security

The electric emergency power supply system, better known as CPSS – Central Power Supply System, is designed to provide lighting in the event of a power outage.

EN50171 Regulamentation

The EN 50171 standard applies to systems permanently connected to alternating current supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V and that use batteries as an alternative power source.

Battery

The batteries used in CPSS electric emergency power supplies must have an expected lifespan of at least 10-12 years.

Overload

The inverters used in CPSS must be capable of handling a continuous overload of 120%.

Charge time

The chargers used must recharge the batteries within 12 hours, starting from a fully discharged condition.

Enclosure resistance

The enclosure of CPSS must have excellent mechanical resistance, capable of withstanding heat and fire.

Standard CEI EN 602040

The structure of the CPSS electric emergency power supply must also comply with the CEI EN 62040 standard. The EN 50171 standard lists the technical characteristics that the CPSS must have to be compliant.
